There is plenty of variety in the Ardhowen Theatre programme this week.
Kev F. Sutherland writes and draws for The Beano, Doctor Who and Marvel comics, and next Wednesday, August 9, he’ll be happily teaching children all about his creative craft.
Join Kev F. on the day for two of his Comic Art Masterclasses – one at 10.30am for children aged between seven and 11, and another at 2pm for those aged between 12 to 16.
All materials are supplied, and the masterclasses promise to be very engaging for any aspiring young comic art talents.
From art to music now, and running from next Wednesday, August 9 to Saturday, August 11, catch ‘Legally Blonde The Musical’.
All shows start at 8pm, with an additional 2pm show on Saturday, August 11. This is a fabulously fun international award-winning musical based on the adored film, ‘Legally Blonde’.
The musical follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery, and scandal in pursuit of her dreams.
This action-packed musical explodes on the stage with memorable songs and dynamic dances, and promises to be equal parts hilarious and heart-warming, with a musical that will be ridiculously enjoyable from start to finish.
Returning to art now, and Fermanagh Art Club is excited to present their first-ever Summer Art Club at the Ardhowen Theatre from Monday, August 14 to Friday, August 18.
The week will be led by Gail Turner – a fully qualified teacher and working artist, who also has a post graduate diploma in Therapeutic Art for Children.
She has seen first-hand how art-making builds confidence and self-esteem in children.
The art club will welcome children aged between seven to 14 for a practical, fun and inspiring week, drawing, painting, and enjoying collage and craft-making.
Finally, the Sewtastic Summer School has been rescheduled to run from Monday, August 14 to Friday, August 18, daily from 2pm to 5pm.
Participants will learn sewing machine basics, and they will use their new skills to work on their first project – a tote bag, which will be perfect for carrying around their future creations and sewing accessories!
All materials are provided for what promises to be a practical but fun summer school.
