In tomorrow night’s (Tuesday, January 30) episode of RTÉ television series 'Selling Ireland's Dream Homes,' Fermanagh estate agent Montgomery Finlay & Co. takes centre stage as they proudly present one of Fermanagh's most remarkable properties to viewers across Ireland.
The series, renowned for featuring quirky, unusual, and high-end homes, selected only two properties in Northern Ireland, both of which happen to be nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Fermanagh.
Last week, Benmore House, a picturesque 7,000 sq.ft country manor that recently underwent a lavish refurbishment featured on the programme.
With a listing price of £1.35 million, it was purchased in October 2023.
Tomorrow night’s episode focuses Dunbar House, a 3,500 sq.ft mid-Georgian period home brimming with history and currently available for just under £1 million.
RTÉ deliberately sought out properties with captivating stories explained Estate Agent Nick Finlay, Montgomery Finlay & Co who said: “RTÉ really wanted properties with a bit of a story to tell and something that adds to the drama and atmosphere of the show, not just a nice home.
“Dunbar House was originally built as an attempt to win the love of a Reverend’s daughter, while CS Lewis had spent time in Benmore House visiting his grandfather who had been the rector at the time.
“We have been extremely lucky to be involved in the sale of these fantastic houses. We are delighted that these beautiful homes have been selected and that is credit to both sets of owners for the lovely homes they have nurtured and created.”
He added: “It is fantastic to have our beautiful County Fermanagh getting exposure across Ireland. We have already been contacted by people as far afield as Spain who called to say they managed to see the programme and it was wonderful to see such iconic properties in Fermanagh being highlighted.”
Selling Ireland’s Dream Homes will air on RTÉ Two at 9.30pm tomorrow (Tuesday, January 30.)
