Bundoran's Brigid’s Day February Bank Holiday festival is back for 2024! Events will take place in Bundoran as 'Féile na mBan' returns for its second year from February 2-6.
Dedicated to showcasing women in all walks of life, the festival will once again provide a showcase of the best of Irish women in history, arts, music, activism and many other areas.
Joan Crawford, Fáilte Ireland’s manager of the Wild Atlantic Way said: “We are thrilled to have this festival grow from the inaugural event last year and offer such a variety and talent to visitors over our newest bank holiday. There’s no better place than Donegal for the Wild Women of Ireland to celebrate Brigid."
Highlights of the weekend include performances from critically acclaimed bands Dea Matrona, Systir, and The Henry Girls. Speakers include activist Ailbhe Smyth, historian Sonja Tiernan, and a special screening of Emma O’Grady’s documentary ‘Mad, Bad and Dangerous’ featuring Bernadette McAliskey and Lelia Doolin.
There is surfing and sea swimming, wellness and boot camp sessions, knitting with Edel McBride, featured talks and workshops on mythology and art exhibitions, soil science and poetry readings and lots more!
