The salary of a Fermanagh and Omagh District Councillor who serves as a Special Advisor (SPAD) to Minister of Health, Robin Swann has been published.
Councillor Mark Ovens, an Ulster Unionist councillor for Erne West, will be paid a salary of between £65-69,999 for his role in advising Mr. Swann.
Councillor Ovens is among 13 SPADs who have been appointed by ministers as part of the Northern Ireland Executive.
Mr. Ovens has been reappointed to his role having previously served as a SPAD to Mr. Swann. and will continue to serve in his role as a councillor.
His reappointment was announced last month during a meeting of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council.
SPAD salaries have been controversial as a number are now paid more than MLAs while in the past, some SPADs were paid more than Ministers.
