Gardaí have launched an investigation after the body of a woman from Fermanagh was discovered in Monaghan town on St. Patrick's Day.
The woman's body was recovered from the Ulster Canal at approximately 8.30am.
Details surrounding the incident remain limited, with authorities indicating that a post-mortem examination has been scheduled. They say the results of this examination will determine the direction of the ongoing investigation.
