A LOCAL animal sanctuary are fundraising to nurse a "severely neglected" dog back to health.
'Ollie' was recently rescued by Bright Eyes Animal Sanctuary, Ballinamallard, and is unfortunately suffering from many medical issues, including malnutrition.
Fundraising is currently underway to pay for treatment for ear infections, parasites, sore paws, stomach issues and eye surgery, which will help him back to health.
Speaking on the incident, a spokesperson from Bright Eyes said: "Bright eyes recently received a call asking us to take in a dog that had been severely neglected. We obviously said yes as we knew this dog needed immediate help.
"It took over two-hours to groom him as he was fully matted and as you can see he is a walking skeleton.
"This poor wee thing has many medical issues and we are hoping we can ask our followers and supporters to help us with the vet costs.
"It is totally heartbreaking to see how sweet he is and the love he has to give despite what he's been through."
"We have a wonderful person fostering him for us and has been doing such an amazing job giving him around the clock care, without her we would be lost.
"We are really hoping we can raise £1,500 to put towards the vet bills so far and between all our 23,000 followers we think we can achieve this and get this beautiful wee soul the help he needs and the life he deserves.
"If you wish to help ollie and his road to recovery please click the donate button and help us raise the money he needs."
