CHOICE Housing has confirmed that repairs being carried out to Westbridge House in Enniskillen are "cosmetic".
The statement from the sheltered living provider comes after safety fears were raised about large cracks on the exterior of the building beside Erne Bridge.
However, a structural survey has since confirmed that the cracks are "non-structural", and cosmetic redecoration works are now under way.
Scaffolding is currently in place at Westbridge House, which is a sheltered living scheme comprising 30 self-contained apartments at Ann Street.
In relation to the works, a spokesperson from Choice Housing emphasised that they do not relate to the structural integrity of the building.
The spokesperson said: “Structural surveys carried out at Westbridge House have confirmed cracking only to the external render of the building which is non-structural.
"Choice are now commencing a programme of full external redecoration of the building, including cosmetic repairs to the external render.
"We expect this to be completed over the coming months.”
In relation to safety at Westbridge House, the spokesperson added: “The safety and wellbeing of our tenants is of paramount importance to us."
