Jemma Dolan is getting acquainted with her latest role: motherhood.
The Fermanagh South Tyrone Sinn Féin MLA gave birth to her and husband Conor Fearon’s first child - Croíadh Fearon - on March 24.
The baby girl has already been to Stormont to visit her mum’s office, and has called to visit the Sinn Féin Office in Enniskillen.
Discussing motherhood, Ms. Dolan said: “Being a new mum is probably one of the most challenging things I've ever done, but simultaneously the best and most precious gift.”
Thanking those who cared for her and her baby, Ms. Dolan said: “I really want to say a huge thank-you to every single staff member in the South West Acute Hospital who I met along my pregnancy journey, and those on the Maternity Ward who went above and beyond to help Croíadh's safe delivery, and who gave me the best care.
"I will be eternally grateful, and they made me so proud of our Maternity Services.
“I'm also breastfeeding and want to commend the staff who supported me in starting that journey - I couldn't have done it without them,” she added.
