A POPULAR Sky News correspondent from Fermanagh is returning to the news channel after six years.
Darren McCaffrey, who is originally from Newtownbutler, has confirmed that he will be heading back to doing live reports after quitting the broadcaster in 2018.
Darren confirmed the news on X - formerly Twitter - and also revealed just when he would be back on screens.
He wrote: "Super pleased to share that I’ll be returning to Westminster and indeed to @SkyNews to help cover what promises to be a hell of a year in Britain politics.
"Can’t wait to get started when I return from my travels just after Easter and work alongside the best team in the business."
One of his Sky colleagues welcomed the news, stating: "Wasn't expecting this. Congratulations Darren and welcome back to Sky!"
His fans were then quick to join in, writing: "That’s great news! Looking forward to you being back in Westminster."
Darren had previously worked at GB News before leaving the channel.
