I hear that the Fermanagh Genealogy Centre’s (FGC) most recent talk was another great success, with people tuning in from as far afield as Australia and Canada to watch.
And why wouldn’t they, with FGC consistently arranging great speakers, with a dizzying range of fascinating local history and topics to delve into?
Next up, and Fr. Brian D’Arcy will be the group’s guest speaker this Saturday afternoon, April 20 at Fermanagh House, where Frankie Roofe will be hosting Fr. Brian in an informal chat.
The always amenable and knowledgeable Fr. Brian will be happy to discuss growing up in his native Fermanagh, with everything from Showbands, football, the Church and much more set to pop up, in what’s certain to be an entertaining and engaging chat.
Doors open from 1.15pm, with proceedings starting at 2pm; everyone is welcome, with tea and refreshments to be served also.
There is a £5 charge for non-members, and the presentation is available live for FGC members on Zoom, via its website.
