A FERMANAGH businessman has purchased the Linen Green shopping centre in Dungannon.
David Mahon, who owns David Mahon Properties, revealed that the shopping village was purchased in January of this year for a sum of £4m.
The local businessman added that it was a case of 'third time lucky', having been previously outbid on two occasions.
"I was runner-up on it the previous two times, so I finally scored it the third time," Mr. Mahon said. "I had my eye on it for a while; for a number of years we fancied it."
Described as Northern Ireland's leading shopping village, the Linen Green Designer Village boasts 122,266 sq ft of retail, restaurant, office and residential space, with around 30 shops and businesses.
"It's not your ordinary shopping centre," Mr. Mahon continued. "There are some vacant units that we have had interest in, and we have redeveloped some of the older buildings.
"It's an exciting time for all involved. We are keen on it."
