Ulster Unionist Councillor and dedicated Tractor Boys supporter, Victor Warrington, has called on the Council to mark a Fermanagh football manager's big win at the weekend.
Addressing the chamber, the Erne East councillor suggested extending congratulations to Fermanagh's own Kieran McKenna, the manager of Ipswich Town Football Club, for his team's promotion to the Premier League last weekend.
Councillor Warrington highlighted the remarkable achievement, emphasising the challenges overcome by McKenna and his players, who navigated financial constraints and brought the team from League One to the top tier of English football.
Councillor Warrington praised the efforts of Mr. McKenna and noted the pride in which he is held in Northern Ireland, he added: “To show he was true Fermanagh man and how humble he was. He was out in Christchurch Park in Ipswich t picking up the litter and rubbish left behind.”
The proposal was seconded by Anthony Feeley of Sinn Féin.
