A woman is in a 'critical condition' in hospital following an incident in Maguiresbridge yesterday, Tuesday, May 7.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the report of an incident in the Drummeer Road area of Maguiresbridge on Tuesday, May 7.
"Officers received a report on Tuesday morning that the female occupant of a house in the area had sustained a number of serious injuries and had been taken to hospital by ambulance. The woman, aged in her 50’s, remains in a critical condition in hospital at this time.
"A 54-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident but has since been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries to be conducted.
"The investigation is ongoing and detectives would ask anyone with any information which may be of assistance to contact them at Omagh on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 383 07/05/24."
