CRIMINAL damage has been a memorial stone that was dedicated by Diana, Princess of Wales.
The Peace Cairn, at New Street, Enniskillen, was damaged along with a bench, which was thrown into the river.
The Pleace Cairn, from the Rotary Club of Enniskillen, was dedicated by Diana Princess of Wales, who laid the last stone on Remembrance Sunday, November 14, 1993.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed or has information in relation to criminal damage caused to a number of park benches and a memorial stone at Inis Ceithleann Island Park on New Street Enniskillen.
"It's suspected that this has happened over the weekend."
The spokesperson continued: "Anyone with information in relation to this incident can contact Police on 101 quoting 750 of 06/05/24 or report online at https://www.psni.police.uk/report. You can also contact Crimestoppers to report anonymously on 0800555111."
