After a hiatus of several years, the Derrylin Amateur Dramatic Society performed its latest show last weekend in Enniskillen.
Re-formed in late 2015, the society performed Candlelight Cabaret, overlooking the beautiful lower Lough Erne at Aughakillymaude Community Centre.
It offered a blend of drama, poetry, music, and song.
The group, inclusive of all ages and experiences, involved members from Derrylin, Kinawley, and Teemore areas.
The show featured various talents including Mary Cassidy, Scarlet Murphy, and Claire Gilheaney among others, with Debbie Murphy at the helm directing and producing.
Traditional Irish music by the Manley family from Roslea and McAlister family from Derrylin set the tone for the evening.
The lively evening was enjoyed by a packed audience, with sound provided by Joe and Keava Gunn, and additional support from the Aughakillymaude Community Association.
The society rejuvenated after being affected by the Covid lockdown in early 2020.
The cast and crew adapted and performed several short acts which were live-streamed from the Ardhowen Theatre.
With positive community backing and to provide lighthearted entertainment after the pandemic, a Derrylin Drama Festival ran in August 2021 with the first Candlelight Cabaret, along with a drama picnic.
The Candlelight Cabaret might go on the road in the next few weeks.
The group hopes to present a number of one-act productions for the Enniskillen One Act Drama Festival, which is slated to run from October 31 to November 2 at the Ardhowen Theatre this year.
