JUDGING for the highly-anticipated Impartial Reporter Community Champion Awards, in association with Encirc, will take place tomorrow (Friday).

The awards ceremony is set to take place on Thursday, June 27, at the Lough Erne Resort, and will honour the unsung heroes within our community.

But before the long-awaited event can take place, judges have the tough task of judging a range of inspirational individuals, across a range of categories.

Community champions will be recognised for their excellence across various categories, ranging from business acumen to philanthropy and everything in between.

The categories will be judged by an esteemed panel, including Impartial Reporter Editor, Rodney Edwards; Gemma Martin, Encirc; the Very Rev. Kenneth Hall; Fr. Brian D'Arcy; former Council Chief Executive Officer, Aideen McGinley; retired teacher, Frances Boyd; and Enniskillen solicitor, Gary Black.

The event will be hosted by Sky News Senior Ireland Correspondent David Blevins, and promises to illuminate the extraordinary efforts of individuals and businesses embodying the ethos of selflessness and community service.

Ahead of the event, Mr. Edwards said: "These awards are about celebrating the essence of community spirit and the remarkable individuals who make our communities thrive.

“Every week, we feature in The Impartial Reporter people whose selflessness and dedication define our community.

“I look forward to holding our awards ceremony, where we'll have the opportunity to shine a spotlight on these unsung heroes, and to express our heartfelt gratitude for their invaluable contributions to Fermanagh and South Tyrone."
