Erne Boat Rally 2024 is set to return in impressive style this weekend, with the 57th such rally – marking its third consecutive year back since the pandemic – sure to be a highlight of the boating calendar for the year, as well as providing a marvellous sight all along its route.
The rally starts this Friday, May 24, with a wine reception from 7pm in Lisnaskea Boat Club, with the rally dinner dance starting at 8pm after the presentation of the Commodore’s flags.
The rally then continues on Saturday with a 10am Commodore’s briefing at the club, before departing at 10.30am for an afternoon stop in Enniskillen at the Round O Jetty, passing Carrybridge en route.
The Enniskillen lunch stop will be followed by cruising on to the Lough Erne Yacht Club for a 6pm BBQ, live music and entertainment, and an overnight stay.
Sunday, May 26 will start with an 11am briefing and ecumenical service at Lough Erne Yacht Club, followed by a noon visit to the RNLI station.
From 1 to 3pm, the Commodore’s wine and cheese reception at Lough Erne Yacht Club will be followed by the 4pm Commodore’s departure and cruise to Rossharbour Resort for an overnight stop and entertainment.
Next Monday, May 27, will see the Commodore’s briefing and sing song at 10am, followed by departure at 11am for lunch at the Round O Jetty in Enniskillen, followed later that evening by the 5.30pm Commodore’s departure for The Moorings Restaurant for prize giving and the rally close.
The rally promises to be another wonderful event for participants and onlookers alike, and add to the fine legacy of the highly-regarded nautical event.
