A RECENT conference at Lusty Beg island brought together more than 250 women leaders, founders and investors for two days of inspiration, connection and empowerment.

The 'She Ventures' summit, which took place last week, was a first-of-its-kind event for women founders from across the island of Ireland.

The unique gathering saw innovation meeting inspiration, featuring a renowned line-up of keynote speakers sharing their extensive range of expertise, knowledge and insight.

Lynette Fay kicked of the exciting two days at Lusty Beg Island Resort and Spa, alongside a welcome from Ethna Mc Namee, Regional Manager of Invest Northern Ireland; Hilary Reilly, the Republic’s Department of Foreign Affairs; and Councillor Anne-Marie Donnelly, Sinn Féin, Vice-Chair, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council.

Attendees spent an afternoon crafting their own experience, and hopped through themed break-out cabins, enjoying masterclasses, pitches, fireside chats and drop-ins with experts.

This unique setting allowed for open conversations without any barriers, which led to transformative learnings.

A keynote for day two was Ann Hiatt, author of ‘The Silicon Valley blueprint for success’.

Attendees also heard from keynote speaker Monica Parker, a world-renowned speaker, writer, and authority on the future of work; and another keynote speaker, Kelly Hoey, a networking expert, coach and bestselling author.

A highlight of the event was the gala dinner, which proved to be an evening that began with some incredible speakers and special surprises.

Participants were encouraged to be courageous, spark conversations, and exchange exciting ideas, with the evening ending in karaoke.

The speaker at the gala was Susan Hayes Culleton, Managing Director, Hayes Cullen Group, the author of ‘Positive Economics’, and a professional mentor.
