A YOUNG Lisnaskea girl who tragically passed away at the weekend has been described as a “kind-hearted soul” with “an infectious smile”.

Charlotte Rose Farrell, 12, from Sheebeg, Lisnaskea, passed away at her home on Sunday.

She was a darling daughter of Joanne and Roderick; a loving sister of Matthew, Daniel and Aimee; and granddaughter of Dorothy and David Morrow, and Betty and the late Ronnie Farrell.

She will be laid to rest at Holy Trinity Parish Church, Lisnaskea, on Friday. Charlotte was a Year 9 pupil of Fivemiletown College, and was also involved in the local Splitz Gymnastics team.

Jennifer Hanna, from Splitz Gymnastics, said there has been “devastation” at the news of Charlotte’s untimely passing.

“We are absolutely devastated to hear of the passing of our beautiful Charlotte Farrell,” she said.

“[She was] a massive part of the Splitz Gymnastics elite team, with a kind-hearted soul and an infectious smile.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. We will all miss her so much.”

Meanwhile, Charlotte’s teacher, Hannah Bracken, described her as a “loving girl” in an online tribute.

“[We are] absolutely heartbroken by this news. Charlotte was the most gorgeous and loving girl.

“She will be sorely missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Thinking and praying for Charlotte’s entire family and friends.”

Lisnaskea Historical Society also paid tribute to Charlotte, and extended its deep sympathies to her family and friends.

“Everyone involved with Lisnaskea Historical Society is numbed and saddened by the passing of Charlotte Rose Farrell,” a spokesperson said.

“The Farrells have always been great advocates of our work, past and present, through Charlotte’s grandparents, the late Ronnie, and Betty.

“[We are also thinking of] her uncle Adrian, a recent guest speaker, and her parents, Roderick and Joanne, who just recently facilitated a guided talk at Sheebeg Henge Clifden.

“Roderick attended regularly our talks and had a valuable input through the Fairs and Markets committee in relation to our Olde Tyme Market Day in the Cornmarket.

“Charlotte regularly attended and participated in this with The Moate Primary School.

“As a society, we extend our heartfelt sorrow at the loss of Charlotte to her family.”
