There was a busy mood at the Salvation Army Hall at the weekend as Enniskillen Community Market came together for the final time on June 1.
With the venue no longer available for the popular market, stallholders and shoppers made the most of a last chance to browse a diverse range of wares, with something for people of all ages once again on show in the heart of Enniskillen.
In the market’s brief but busy year-long life, it was credited with helping a number of enterprising small local businesses get going, finding a foothold on the island town’s diverse commercial and cultural life, with friendships formed and networking natters between stallholders and customers alike common throughout the market’s operations.
While all good things must come to an end, the group behind the enterprise have said they will continue to use their social media presence to help promote the stallholders, with such small businesses that the community market typically helped to support also vital to the town’s bustling business heart.
