The familiar hum of tractors will fill the village of Donagh later this month as a special tractor run takes place.
The run this year is being held in memory of the original founder of the run, Frankie McCormack.
Mr. McCormack passed away in February and his family, friends and members of the Donagh Vintage Group decided it would be a fitting tribute to dedicate this year's tractor run in his memory.
Mr. McCormack was an avid vintage tractor enthusiast who before his sudden passing had fully restored his own Ford Ferguson tractor.
He was well known within vintage tractor circles and attended many vintage shows and tractor runs over the years.
Each year, the Donagh Vintage & Modern Tractor Run raises money for charities who have impacted the local community.
This year, the chosen charities are Marie Curie and Killadeas Day Centre, the latter of which Mr. McCormack niece, Shannon McCormack, is a user.
Mr. McCormack's family and friends hope to see many of his fellow tractor enthusiasts in attendance on Sunday, June 23, with a great day's entertainment promised.
The run gets under way at 2.30pm from Mohan's field in the village.
