A Fermanagh man has been released after being arrested as part of a cross Border terrorism investigation.
The 42-year-old was arrested following the discovery of a suspected improvised explosive device in County Louth in the early hours of Sunday, June 9.
A search was carried out at his property in the Letterbreen area, with a large police presence visible.
He was released by police on Monday evening, following questioning.
On Tuesday, The Impartial Reporter approached the man for comment, but he declined to talk.
Speaking about the weekend incident, a PSNI spokesperson said: "A 42-year-old man arrested by detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Terrorism Investigation Unit, following the discovery of a suspected improvised explosive device in County Louth, has been released from custody following questioning.
"Police have been working alongside colleagues in An Garda Síochána, who carried out a search of the Ravensdale area during the early hours of Sunday morning, June 9, when the device was located."
A further search was of a property in the Garrison area.
