A cross-Border terrorism investigation has continued its work in Fermanagh this week as PSNI yesterday [Thursday, June 14] searched a house in Enniskillen.
It is the latest in a series of joint operations by the PSNI and Gardái in the local region and follows searches in Letterbreen and the Border area near Belleek earlier this week.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "PSNI Terrorism Investigation Unit detectives, working alongside An Garda Síochána detectives, to investigate a suspected improvised explosive device in Co Louth at the weekend, have conducted a search of a house in Enniskillen on Thursday, June 13.
Detective Chief Inspector Hamlin said: “During the search of a house, a number of items were taken away for further examination, including clothing and other items.
“We will continue to work alongside our colleagues in An Garda Síochána and again, we encourage anyone with any information to contact us on 101 or report online via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport.” Or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
