A 17-year-old boy has died in a workplace incident in Co Cavan.
Both Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the incident at a premises in Cavan shortly after 4.30pm yesterday.
The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been removed from the scene to the mortuary in Cavan General Hospital and a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
The Health and Safety Authority has said it is aware of the incident, and has subsequently launched an investigation.
A file will be prepared for the coroners court.
