A pharmacist from Co. Fermanagh was awarded the Superintendent Pharmacist of the Year award.

Mark McPhillips, who now resides in Hillsborough, was recognised at the prestigious Irish Pharmacy Awards, often referred to as the Oscars of the Irish pharmacy world.

His pharmacy, StayWell, achieved double success at the event.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. McPhillips said: "Winning Superintendent Pharmacist of the Year is not just a personal honour, but a tribute to the entire team's dedication to excellence in healthcare.

"This award reaffirms our commitment to innovative pharmacy practices and exceptional patient care, inspiring us to continue setting benchmarks in the industry."

The event took place at the Clayton Hotel on Burlington Road, Dublin and was hosted by RTÉ's Marty Whelan.

More than 500 guests attended the black-tie gala to celebrate excellence and innovation in the pharmacy sector, recognising those who have gone above and beyond on the frontline of healthcare.

The awards were open to more than 7,000 pharmacists registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
