Education Minister, Paul Givan, has confirmed that the relocation of Bunscoil an Traonaigh is progressing as a Minor Works scheme.
According to the Department, a minor work is a capital project that costs less than £500,000, and is prioritised according to greatest need, including roofs, health and safety and disabled facilities.
Minister Givan has confirmed that this scheme is being used for the relocation of Bunscoil an Traonaigh to the former Lisnaskea High School site.
In a response to an assembly question Sinn Féin MLA, Ainé Murphy, the DUP Minister said: "The relocation of Bunscoil an Traonaigh to the former Lisnaskea High School site is being progressed by the Department as a Minor Works scheme.
"The business case for the relocation is currently being reviewed by the Department. Following business case approval, the works will be subject to capital availability."
Plans for the relocation of Bunscoil an Traonaigh have been ongoing for almost 10 years.
In 2014, the school was granted capital grant status by the Department of Education.
In December 2015, it was decided that the former Lisnaskea High School site would be split to allow the use of part of the site by the Irish medium primary school and nursery.
