A former student of Bunscoil An Traonaigh in Lisnaskea is set to return to its corridors in September as the principal.
Ms. Caoimhe Green (25) is set to become one of Northern Ireland’s youngest principals when she returns to the Gaelscoil.
She was one of the first pupils through the door when the school first opened in 2004.
She has said she feels “very blessed” and “excited” to take on her new role.
She added: “I am very blessed to be given the opportunity at such a young age.”
Ms. Green will replace outgoing principal, Sorcha Murphy, who has been at the helm of the Lisnaskea school for 17 years.
Speaking to the Belfast Telegraph she said: “I am so delighted that some of the pupils I have known at the school are now coming back to where they were first educated,”
“They have so much to give back to the education system and I know the school will be in good hands now with Caoimhe.”
When the school first opened, there were 12 pupils and now there is an enrolment of 60 children.
Ms. Green grew up in County Fermanagh but later moved to Clones in County Monaghan.
