The Western Trust has requested a portrait of King Charles, Heath Minister Mike Nesbitt has confirmed.
The now-former Traditional Unionist MLA Jim Allister asked the Minister about the display of portraits of the Monarch and received an update on the current status of such applications within the Health and Social Care Trusts.
"An application for the portrait of His Majesty The King has been made by the Western Health and Social Care Trust," the Minister confirmed. "However, no decision has been made on where this portrait will reside."
The Minister also noted that the other Health and Social Care Trusts, including the Belfast, Southern, South Eastern, and Northern Trusts, have not made any applications for portraits of King Charles III.
This update comes as various institutions consider ways to commemorate The King.
