Over €300,000 of cannabis was seized yesterday by Gardaí in County Cavan.
Gardaí arrested two men following a seizure of over €300,000 worth of cannabis following a search in Belturbet, Co.Cavan on Wednesday, July 17.
A Garda spokesperson said: “A search was carried out at a grow house which led to the seizure of cannabis worth €334,000. €44,000 worth of cannabis plants and €290,000 in cannabis herb was discovered at the property.
“The seized drugs will now be sent to FSI (Forensic Science Ireland) to undego further analysis.
“Two males (30s) have been arrested in connection with this seizure and are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda Station in the North Western region. “Investigations ongoing.”
