Youtuber IShowSpeed is currently causing quite a stir in Enniskillen as he undertakes a live stream through the town.
Mr. Speed, an American YouTuber was pursued around the town by several teenagers and young people and was pied piper-like with young people shouting: “speed, speed, speed” as they tried to get his attention, get into his video or attempt to get his autograph.
The Youtuber has over 26 million subscribers and his visit caused quite a fuss, young people tried to get photos with the Youtuber as he walked around the town.
Up to 200 fans followed Speed around Enniskillen, which caused some confusion among those who were out shopping or having a leisurely walk up the high street.
He danced outside Charlie’s Bar with Irish dancers, made pizza in Little Wings Pizzeria and served it to customers as he live-streamed, at one point he walked with Irish Wolfhounds and was impressed by their friendly nature.
Speed jumped over a bin and performed a backflip as he ran up the town followed by his entourage of fans.
Louis Milligan a self-described, “speed super fan” explained some of the hype for Speed.
He said: “I mean look at him, he is so glorious, he is so good looking, he has such a straight hairline, it's hard not to be a super fan.
He explained that Mr. Speed typically arrives in towns and live streams as he goes about activities.
“He used to do streams, and do pranks and now he goes all over the world and does things like he does now”
His visit caused some confusion with passersby asking some of the young people who was causing such a fuss in Enniskillen on a Friday afternoon.
At the time of being published, Speed currently has 130,000 people watching his livestream video as he visits Brewster Park, Enniskillen.
Speed attempted to play Gaelic Football at Brewster Park, he took a break from practice momentarily to chase a child around the stands before signing autographs.
During his practice, Enniskillen Gaels player Lorcan Love attempted to tackle Speed and fell over. Later club members presented him with a Gaels jersey.
It is not clear yet why Speed chose to visit Enniskillen as part of his YouTube stream but it is clear to say his visit has caused some excitement in the County town.
