A month-long celebration of local craft is back this year with a host of events scheduled across Fermanagh.
Workshops, exhibitions, open studios and festivals are set to take place during the August Craft Month.
Organised by the Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI) and Craft NI, individuals of all age groups and skill levels can participate in a variety of activities.
Crafts from ceramics to carving, glass to sewing will be highlighted in the celebration, offering something for everyone.
The programme aims to keep the rich heritage of Irish craft alive and introduce fresh talent.
This year, local makers such as Tracey Whitehead and Elaina Blampied are involved in the festivities.
The activities on offer in Fermanagh include the Buttermarket self-guided tour in Enniskillen, which is free throughout August.
The historical 19th Century buildings, which have been restored, now house 16 studios, galleries and shops that offer pottery, handmade jewellery, textiles and more.
Visitors can buy a plethora of handmade goods, such as pottery items by Ann McNulty and jewellery pieces by Angela Kelly.
Belleek Visitor Centre on Main Street also offers pottery tours throughout August.
Although not free for entry, the 30-minute guided tour showcases the behind-the-scenes of the manufacturing and creative process that goes into every piece of Belleek fine china, which has been a town staple since 1857.
The tour begins with the ‘ringing of the bell’, after which participants will visit the museum of artefacts, a collection of Belleek pieces.
Craftspeople at the centre will also demonstrate moulding, flowering, painting and basket weaving, with visitor participation encouraged throughout the tour.
Additionally, there will be wool spinning taster sessions at Unit 18 in The Buttermarket on August 3 at 11am.
These sessions provide beginners with a chance to learn about the mesmerising craft of wool spinning.
The 30-minute hands-on sessions are suitable for beginners.
For the first time, craft lovers can find events in their local community by using the August Craft Month's interactive map available at augustcraftmonth.org.
