The family and friends of the late Warren Masterson have raised over £2,000 for The Aisling Centre in his memory following a recent walk in his honour.

A total of £2,635.97 was raised by the family and friends of Mr. Masterson when they tackled the Cuilcagh Boardwalk on June 22. 

The money raised was greatly appreciated by The Aisling Centre and in a social media post, a representative said: "Sincere thanks to the family and friends of the late Warren Masterson who walked the 'Stairway to Heaven’ on June 22 in remembrance and in celebration of Warren's life.

"They raised a total of £2,635.97 which was donated for the provision of counselling services at Aisling Centre. We very much appreciate your thought for others in your time of sorrow."

Mr. Masterson died unexpectedly at home in Enniskillen on December 29, 2023. The much-loved painter and decorator was a husband to Laura and a father to Eilish and Killian. 

In a tribute in this newspaper earlier this year, his family remembered him as a "big softie", who was devoted to his children and enjoyed his work as well as his hobbies of motorcycle riding and mumming with Aughakillymaude Mummers.
