A MAN has said that is 'not guilty' of stealing gardening tools worth over £4,000.
Martin Maughan (26) of Milltown Court, Newtownbutler, appeared before Enniskillen Magistrate's Court on Monday, July 29.
Maughan is accused of entering a farm building near Derrygonnelly and stealing tools belonging to a male on May 18, 2021.
He is also accused, on the same date, of entering another outbuilding near Lisbellaw, again stealing tools.
A day later, Maughan is accused of stealing gardening tools worth £4,200 from an address at Main Street, Brookeborough.
At the short hearing on Monday, Maughan indicated that he understood the charges before him, and that he was content to have the case heard at Enniskillen Courthouse.
When a prosecutor asked him to indicate his attitude toward the offences, Maughan replied "not guilty".
District Judge, Alana McSorley, adjourned the case until until August 12, when it will again be heard at Enniskillen Magistrate's Court.
