The first phase of elements of Fermanagh County Show takes place next weekend at CAFRE’s Enniskillen Campus with the exhibition of schoolchildren’s work across the county.

Pupils from schools have been working on their entries since the beginning of the year and they will be going on display over the two days of Friday and Saturday, August 9 and 10 at the Campus.

The opening times are 3pm to 9pm on the Friday and 10am to 4pm on the Saturday.

All pupils have free entry with a charge of £5 for adults.

The main sponsor is Mr Gary Black of GRB Solicitors, Erne Chambers, Enniskillen.

While there is no agricultural show as in previous years, Fermanagh Farming Society has been organising their Classic Suckler and Breeding Heifer Derby competitions which have been judged on farms. The winners will be announced at a special prizegiving event later in the autumn.

Also taking place this year is the Top Flock Sheep Competition to find the best sheep flock in the county. It is also being judged over the summer months on farm and the winners announced later.
