The month of August will be busy again in the Ardhowen with plans afoot for a host of workshops and one local amateur theatre group taking to the stage with their production of a beloved family film.
Colette from Little Mess Fermanagh is back on Thursday, August 8 at 11am in the Ardhowen Studio.
Dive into the wonders of the underwater world at the 'Under the Sea' messy play event.
This aquatic-themed adventure offers children the chance to engage in sensory exploration, boost creativity, improve fine motor skills, and promote social interactions.
Come along for a fun-filled and enriching experience that encourages learning through messy play. Book for your child early as spaces are limited.
Note that a parent/guardian must stay with their child for the duration of the session, which is suitable for ages six months to five years. There will be a craft corner for older siblings aged six to 10 years.
On Monday, August 12, there will be a week-long Summer Art Club in the Ardhowen Studio, from 10am to 1pm. This workshop is suitable for ages six to 12 years and is open for booking.
Sign up your child now for fun summer art activities, five days in a row, led by real, working artists.
This engaging, expressive, and dynamic workshop teaches real art skills and nourishes creativity in your child. All materials are supplied, and the children bring home their unique artworks.
On Thursday, August 15 at 7pm, there will be a two-hour Fused Glass Workshop where you can make your own fused glass coasters.
During this relaxing workshop, you will create two unique coasters using coloured glass pieces that can be cut and shaped to your own design.
Your work will then be fired in the kiln and ready for collection within two weeks.
'Shrek the Musical', presented by Fermanagh Musical Theatre, opens on Thursday, August 15 and will continue until Saturday, August 24 (no shows on Sunday 18, Monday 19, or Tuesday 20).
There is also a relaxed performance on Saturday, August 24 at 2pm, with Shrek bringing all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage.
Providing irreverent fun for the whole family, Shrek proves that beauty is truly in the eye of the ogre.
