An Enniskillen resident has been left "badly shaken" after a group of men armed with hammers entered their home in the early hours of the morning before realising they had entered the wrong address.
The incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday morning, August 6, in the Kilmacormick Avenue area of Enniskillen.
Detective Sergeant Curley of the PSNI said: “At approximately 2.20am, we received a report that five men wearing hoods and armed with hammers had entered a house in Kilmacormick Avenue.
“The men broke through the front door of the property and confronted the occupant before realising they had entered the wrong address.
“They then quickly made off in a red-coloured Mercedes C Class in the direction of the Cornagrade Road.
“Luckily, the resident was uninjured; however, they have been left badly shaken by their ordeal.
“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone with CCTV or other footage that could assist with our enquiries, to contact detectives at 101, quoting reference 113 of 06/08/24.”
