A MAN has appeared in court accused of causing the death of a Belleek woman through careless driving.
James Hughes (26), of Holme Road, Drumquin, appeared before Enniskillen Magistrate's Court on Monday, August 5.
Hughes is facing a single charge of causing the death of Gertrude Joan Love by driving carelessly at the Boa Island Road on November 6, 2021.
Relatives of the late Mrs. Love were present at the short hearing.
Standing in the dock, Hughes spoke only to confirm his identity and that he understood the charge before him.
He declined to call witnesses or give evidence on his own behalf.
District Judge Alana McSorley ordered that the case be transferred to Dungannon Crown Court.
Remanding Hughes on his own bail of £500, Judge McSorley ordered that the case be heard at Dungannon on September 19.
