A PHOTOGRAPHIC exhibition currently on show at Enniskillen Library explores the landscapes, locations and events of County Fermanagh.
Entirely comprising the work of local photographer Jan Podsiadly, the 'My Camera, My Eye' exhibition is running run until the end of September.
While Mr. Podsiadly has been a resident of Enniskillen since 2020, many may recognise the accomplished photographer from a vastly different art form in the United Kingdom.
In 1978, Mr. Podsiadly formed the doo-wop group, 'Rocky Sharpe and the Replays', along with his brother, Robert, and they enjoyed chart successes primarily in the United Kingdom and Europe in the early 1980s.
The group earned seven listings in the Guinness Book of Hit Singles and recorded four LPs, and despite splitting in 1984, has a following to this day.
Mr. Podsiadly has had a lifelong love for photography, and among many other achievements, has exhibited twice in Croyden's Clock Clock Gallery.
His love of candidly photographing people, now recognised as Street Photography, has been captured in his latest exhibition in Enniskillen.
"My move from Croydon to Enniskillen has had a profound effect on my personal photography," Mr. Podsiadly explained.
"The hustle and bustle of a dense South London population provided subjects in a wide diversity of situations on my doorstep.
"In Fermanagh, let's say, there are larger spaces between people, but there is an environment that demands to be noticed and engaging characters who reflect it.
"I am exploring the local landscapes, locations and events, and I'm coming to terms with the variable weather.
"I am also feeling more comfortable candidly photographing people in these wider spaces."
Mr. Podsiadly added that the exhibition also focuses on "the transition from one environment to another".
"It is not fully thought out, but is a work in progress," the photographer continued. "Follow me from Croydon, Brighton, Costa Rica, Newcastle, Gibraltar, and Dublin to Northern Ireland.
"Explore with me the Giant's Causeway, the Dark Hedges, the Stairway to Heaven and other places. Enjoy the Balmoral Show, Castle Island Christmas Swan, and local sheep.
"Let me introduce you to some well-known Northern Irish and Irish celebrities.
"What persists through this exhibition is my camera, my eye, and my desire to bring a story to my images."
