The popular Ray of Hope weekend returns this weekend to Newtownbutler.
The event, started in memory of Mickey McPhillips, the annual event will run on August 17 and 18.
The gathering is aimed at providing an environment for open discussions, laughter, and stress relief, due to the recognised impact of mental health issues in society.
The Ray of Hope weekend promises an array of activities catering to diverse preferences.
Starting on Saturday, a coffee morning will take place at 11am in the Community Centre, with entertainment provided by the Partybees.
Concurrently, there will be a ‘Baker of the Year’ competition for U16s.
Interested bakers should arrive with their entries at 10.30am, and three category prizes will be awarded on the day.
Saturday evening will see the Rambling House transform into the hub for a traditional music session, organised by NTB CCE, starting at 8pm.
Wrapping up the weekend is the crowd-drawing Annual Walk, starting from Galloon Bridge at 3pm on Sunday, taking participants into the island.
This year, a colourful twist was added with a colour-run section for those participating and looking to brighten up the events.
