Rising star of Country music Patrick Treacy was one of the five Fermanagh musicians who were among the winners and those placed at the All-Ireland Fleadh [Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann] held in Wexford from August 4-11.
Patrick Treacy competed with Dromore CCÉ and was placed first in the Banjo Over-18s section.
Teenager Aodhán O’Donnell, from Roslea CCÉ, was also a winner, taking home first place on the button accordion in the Button Accordion class for those aged 12-15 at the Fleadh.
Dáíthí Manley took home two-second places on the Uilleann Pipes, representing Roslea CCÉ.
He was placed second in the Uilleann Pipes Under-12s class and the Uillean Pipes Slow Airs Under-12s class.
Elsewhere, Julie Ann McCaffrey of Botha CCÉ was placed second in the Newly Composed Songs in English (Any Age) section.
There were more than 50 classes and competitors from right across the island of Ireland, with a number of international competitors taking part from as far away as the United States of America.
All were united by a love of music and performance. Alongside the competition, many of those participating in the fleadh enjoyed taking part in live music sessions, with music being heard from street corners, pubs and anywhere were people gathered.
