After weeks of waiting in anticipation, students from across County Fermanagh received their AS and A-Level results yesterday [Thursday, August 16].
Students from St. Kevin’s College, Lisnaskea; Enniskillen Royal Grammar School; Erne Integrated College, Enniskillen; Devenish College, Enniskillen; St. Michael’s College, Enniskillen; Mount Lourdes Grammar School, Enniskillen; St. Joseph’s College and St. Fanchea’s College, also Enniskillen, received their A-Levels results.
There were joyful scenes as young people picked up their results from their schools, and for many students, this marked the end of their journey in secondary school as they eagerly awaited the transition to full-time work or further education, whether at college or university.
More than 26,000 students across Northern Ireland received their AS and A-level examination results on Thursday morning, with the number of A* and A grades awarded falling for the second year in a row.
Next Thursday [June 22], hundreds of students from across Fermanagh and the United Kingdom will receive their GCSE results on another big day for the education calendar.
See next week's Impartial Reporter for full coverage in photos of A-Level results day across Fermanagh.
