Motoring fans of all ages made some vroom for a popular annual event around the county’s streets at the weekend when the annual Erne Vintage Car Club’s charity parade got under way.

Once again a cavalcade of cars, tractors and vehicles of all ages and makes – and even a horse-drawn carriage – made their way through a number of locations, with Enniskillen providing a busy starting point to the parade’s passing pm Friday evening.

Quite a crowd gathered in the bustling market town’s centre and nearby streets to watch and cheer on as the cars passed by, with some well-known familiar faces spotted behind the wheel of many a motor.

The pleasant weather held steady for the start to the annual parade – the club’s 44th – with everything from beautiful classic cars and terrific tractors to vehicular highlights of bygone decades passing by, with commercial vehicles and motorbikes also adding to the spectacle.

The rest of the weekend saw the parade motoring on to a number of other spots around the area on Saturday and Sunday, including Tamlaght, Derrylin and Lisnaskea, to name but a few, with organisers delighted by the turnout.

Thanking the public and participants alike, organisers were pleased to once again see such a well-attended and well-support event pass off smoothly, which this year’s charity being Guide Dogs NI.
