There were busy scenes across Belcoo last week as Belcoo Sports & Festival '24 got under way, offering lots of great events for all ages across the week.

Running from August 10 to 19, the people of Belcoo threw themselves into the festival with great enthusiasm, getting people across the community and neighbouring areas involved in the fun.

Starting up on Saturday, August 10 with an afternoon tea and cake sale, subsequent days saw lots of events to cater for all tastes, not just those that the delicious cakes appealed to.

For many people, the highlight of the week’s events was the ever-popular Sports Day last Thursday, August 15, which once again enjoyed great support from the community, with a fun fancy dress parade helping to get the day under way.

Last Saturday’s Bingo Loco was another particular highlight of the festival, while another very well received event was the Borderlands Cycle, also held that same day.

These were just a few of the festival’s many diverse events, with organisers thanking all those who had supported and participated across the week or so, with Belcoo Sports & Festival '24 setting another high mark of quality fun for next year’s event to match.
