A 71-YEAR-OLD convicted sex offender living in a rural Fermanagh village has been charged with breaching his Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) following an early morning arrest.
David Coupe, who lives in the Belcoo area, less than 200 metres from the playground, was arrested by police.
According to court documents, Coupe was allegedly found to have been in possession of internet-enabled devices and cleaning software without the approval of his Designated Risk Manager.
This act is prohibited under the terms of the Order, contrary to Section 113(1 (a) of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
During the arrest on August 7, police conducted a search of Coupe's residence, reportedly removing several items from the property.
He is scheduled to appear before Enniskillen Magistrates' Court on September 2.
