THE Western Health and Social Care Trust is offering a lucrative opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated doctors to join its team, with a salary package reaching up to £105,000 per annum.
The positions are available across several GP practices, including Brookeborough and Tempo in Fermanagh, Dromore and Trillick, and Fintona in Tyrone, as well as the Racecourse Road Medical Practice in Derry City.
The Trust is looking to fill these permanent, full-time roles, which encompass up to 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) per week.
Successful candidates will be expected to undertake all the usual duties and responsibilities associated with a General Practitioner working within primary care.
This recruitment drive is part of an initiative to develop a new model of General Practice, which is anticipated to evolve, offering opportunities for involvement in secondary care.
The Western Trust, renowned as a Teaching Hospital, maintains strong academic ties with both the University of Ulster and Queen’s University.
In addition to a competitive salary, the Trust offers a comprehensive benefits package, including access to the HSC pension scheme, up to 30 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, study leave, and family-friendly employment policies.
Other perks include flexible working arrangements, practice indemnity cover, and potential eligibility for relocation expenses.
The roles offer a balanced work environment with four to 10 sessions per week, a mix of telephone and face-to-face appointments, and a cap of 24 patient contacts per day.
The Trust also emphasises the importance of work-life balance, providing protected break times and clinical admin time within the working day.
Additionally, there are opportunities to pursue specialist interests and work within a multi-disciplinary clinical team.
This is an exciting opportunity for GPs seeking to advance their careers in a supportive and progressive environment.
