Fil Campbell and Tom McFarland are set to return to the Abbey Centre in Ballyshannon.

The musical duo will perform at the venue on September 6, joined by fiddler Colette McAree from Laghey.

Tickets for the show are now on sale at www.abbeycentre.ie or by calling 071 9851375.

Campbell and McFarland, who are now based in Belleek, Co. Fermanagh, have been performing together since the early 90s.

Campbell performed solo throughout the 70s and 80s.

Since their formation, they have travelled the world with their mix of original, contemporary, and traditional songs, infused with the "Irish gift of chat and craic".

Their latest CD, Shoreline, features self-penned, original songs alongside a few covers.

It reflects current times and shares stories from their travels.

Campbell, originally from Belleek, has strong connections to Ballyshannon.

She and McFarland first performed at the Ballyshannon Folk Festival in 1993.

She has also presented TV documentaries for RTE, been a BBC radio presenter, and is a voice coach and group singing leader, focusing on adults who were told they could not sing.

Her song Dreaming won the Letterkenny Song Contest in 1994.

McFarland, a Belfast native, is a songwriter, multi-percussionist and drummer.

He runs a small recording and video editing studio.

His song Bird's Song has been translated into German and Portuguese and is taught in schools in Argentina and Australia.
