THIS week, with the first leaves of Autumn beginning to creep into view as the evenings continue getting shorter, Fermanagh photographer Stephanie Wiggins discusses her latest striking photo, ‘Autumn at Forthill’.
“I can’t quite believe that we are now in September and that Summer is over!
“Here begins a new season, and my favourite of the year.
“I love Autumn time – the crisp, fresh mornings and the colourful scenery creating the most picturesque of photos.
“We’re very lucky to have Forthill Park in the middle of our town. Over five acres of woodland, it’s an ideal place to escape the busier streets and surroundings, and to be amongst nature, without leaving Enniskillen.
“Situated in the middle is Cole’s Monument. The monument is open every Saturday and Sunday until the end of September for bookable tours to the top, where you can enjoy the 360-degree view across our island town.
“I captured this photo last year – and just look at all those beautiful colours!”
