The community is mourning the loss of Thomas "Tom" Donohoe, an inspirational and much-loved husband and father, who passed away peacefully this morning (Sunday).

He was surrounded by his loving family at the South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen.

Thomas Joseph, of Silverhill Manor, Enniskillen, was a devoted husband to Clare and a cherished father to Hannah and Ryan. He was also the beloved son of Mary and Eugene, and a dear brother to Jennifer, with his brother Gerald having predeceased him.

The family home will remain strictly private. However, friends and well-wishers are welcome to pay their respects at the Funeral Home, Drumclay Park North, Enniskillen, on Tuesday from 4pm to 7pm, followed by the removal to St. Macartin’s Cathedral, Enniskillen.

A service of thanksgiving for Thomas’s life will be held at St. Macartin’s Cathedral on Wednesday at 11am, with interment to follow in Castle Archdale Parish Churchyard.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in Thomas's memory to Pulmonary Fibrosis NI, with contributions being sent to Marcus Madill Funeral Director, Office and Funeral Home, Drumclay Park North, Irvinestown Road, Enniskillen, BT74 6ND.

Thomas will be forever remembered with love and sadly missed by his wife Clare, his children, and the entire family circle.

A poignant quote on the funeral notice reads:  “I cannot promise you sunshine, but I can promise to stand beside you no matter how hard it rains.”
