AN ENNISKILLEN man who breached the terms of his bail was "abusive" to staff at the South West Acute Hospital (SWAH), a court has heard.

Brandon Quinn (25) of Windmill Heights, Enniskillen, appeared via video link at Enniskillen Magistrate's Court on Monday, September 2, following a breach of his bail terms.

A prosecutor told the court how on Saturday, August 31, police were called to Kesh on an unrelated matter, when Quinn came to their attention.

He was seen in a field at the rear of a housing estate in the village and appeared intoxicated.

Police were aware of Quinn's bail terms, which included that he was not to be drunk in a public place.

He had previously been bailed for a number alleged offences in 2023, including assault, threats to kill and possessing an offensive weapon in public.

A breath test was carried out, which blew a high reading.

Quinn was arrested but resisted police, and then attempted to "run away".

He was then taken to South West Acute Hospital (SWAH), where he was seen to be "abusive to police and hospital staff".

Police then discovered that Quinn was in possession of suspected Class B and Class C substances.

In court, a PSNI constable indicated that he had no objections to Quinn being readmitted to bail.

Defence barrister, Ciaran Roddy, said that Quinn "accepted" the breach of bail, and during the incident he "had been been drinking alcohol, and this then spilled out onto a public place".

District Judge, Alana McSorley, released Quinn on bail, to reside at an address in Enniskillen.
