TWO best friends from Lisnaskea have raised an incredible £10,740 for Autism NI and Splitz Gymnastics Club.
Fundraising efforts from Sean Mullan and Roderick Farrell included a gruelling Hydrox challenge, scaling five peaks including Slieve Commedagh and Slieve Donard, and a coffee morning at HydeOut Fitness in Lisnaskea.
The two charities are close to the men’s hearts, and they had been planning on the climbs to support Autism NI for some time.
Sadly, just months before the challenge, their plan took on even deeper meaning after the tragic loss of Mr. Farrell's daughter, Charlotte, in May.
Speaking in an online video, Mr. Mullan revealed that well over £10,000 had been raised.
"We have reached our grand total for Autism NI and Splitz Gymnastics Club," he said.
"We have raised £10,740. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us."
Similarly, Mr. Farrell said he was "delighted."
"We are delighted that so many young people will now benefit from your generosity."
